I’m Adam Burcher and thanks for checking out my site, I hope it’s been useful. For a bit of background, I guess you could call me a bit of a SharePoint enthusiast – consulting, administration, development and speaking. I recently joined Avanade UK as a SharePoint Consultant.
My History
I’ve been working pretty much solidly in SharePoint for the last 4 years or so, having started with some MOSS 2007 projects, then SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online and now bits of SharePoint 2013. I have been working in the IT industry for over 9 years now. Since leaving university I originally spent a number of years working in network installation and administration, installing servers and networks back when Windows Server 2003 was still fairly new! I then altered direction and became a .Net developer, building web sites. It’s through this that I got started in SharePoint, as they say, that was that and I haven’t looked back. I enjoy being able to combine both the IT admin and development side of things (though I rarely doing client development any more!) and when as the other interesting challenges that SharePoint gives us.
Why the site?
I started this site back in October 2010, largely because I wanted somewhere to share some of what I was doing and to help put some ideas out there. A lot of the time the things I work on and research are finding out how to do things, so I figured it’s worth sharing that. Hopefully, you’ll find some of what I’ve done useful and it will save you some time.
